About the Sunstate Jam

The Sunstate Jam is a weekend of great dancing and so much more! The goal of the event is to inspire and advance your dancing through workshops and competitions. Continuing with the traditions of the awesome Central Florida events that came before it, the Sunstate Jam will feature a host of competition divisions for dancers of all levels... amateur to advanced. In addition, there will be two full days of workshops and classes with nationally known instructors.

The Sunstate Jam is hosted by Flyin' Footwork Productions. The founders of Flyin' Footwork have been actively involved with the Central Florida swing scene for the last ten years and started hosting events in 2000. Flyin' Footwork has been involved in some of Orlando's largest swing dance events, including co-hosting the first three Gulf Regional Lindy Hop Championships.

Something for everyone... We believe that a really great event offers something for everyone no matter what dance level you are. Our goal is to design this event to inspire people new to dancing and challenge those who have spent countless hours on the dance floor. Workshop classes have been selected to offer material for all levels of dancers. The contests are not only designed to challenge the die-hard, but we also offer a division that welcomes those that have never entered a dance contest before. And to dispell of the myth that contest weekends are only about competition, we've ensured that there will be plenty of social dance time!
